The Winning at Home Team is hosting a night for Marriage Encouragement on February 15 from 7-8pm at the Hub.

Dr. Mark Soto will be our facilitator for the evening and will be offering practical encouragement for every marriage, but especially for those parents with kids and teens still at home. We hope you can join us for the evening.

Also, there’s NO EPIC tomorrow night because of fall break.

SHAPED: Spiritual Gifts

Last week we discussed that God says we are his masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10).

When you believe the Creator about who HE says you are, then you can trust him to direct you to be what HE SHAPED you to be.

This week we looked at Spiritual Gifts.

Here’s what we found:

If you’re in Christ, you’re gifted
Spiritual fruit > Spiritual gifts
Your gifts are for others
Love matters when it comes to gifts
Start serving somewhere!

If you didn’t get a spiritual gifts test please talk to Tim or Nick.

If you did get a test…make sure to talk to your parents about what you learned. They will have invaluable insight into your gifts!

SHAPED (and the start of small groups)

We’ve started a new series at EPIC Wednesdays called “SHAPED” and I think it’s going to be good.

Yesterday was week 1.
Ephesians 2:10 (New Living Translation)
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

When we realize that God says we ARE a masterpiece, and that he created us anew in Jesus so that we can DO GOOD THINGS, then it gives meaning to the lives we live.

During the course of our series we’ll look at our…
Spiritual Gifts
Heart (the passions God has placed in us)
Abilities (those abilities that God has given us to use and develop)
Personality (how God has wired us)
Experiences (the fact that God doesn’t want to waste our mountain-top or valley experiences)

Small groups are a great place to process some of these things. If you’re not sure how to connect to a small group, please contact Tim or Nick at the church office…we’d love to help!
